BIOGRAPHY
Susan Morley was born in Dublin. She comes from a family which produced some distinguished artists in the eighteenth & nineteenth centuries, notably the watercolourist John Henry Campbell, & his daughter, Cecelia Margaret Nairn, the first woman exhibitor in the R.H.A.
She attended the National College of Art & Design in Dublin 1968-73. She first exhibited in the Lad Lane Gallery, Dublin in 1976
She since exhibited in many group shows including the Tom Caldwell Gallery, Dublin & Belfast ; the Solomon Gallery, Dublin ; The R.H.A. Annual Exhibition ; Urban Retreat , Dublin ; Patterson’s Fine Art Gallery, London ; Galerie Pomie, Lot, France .
She had two solo shows in the Gate Theatre, Dublin, in 1995 & in 1999
In 2004 she had a solo show at Origin Gallery, Dublin, entitled “ The Goblet of
Light “, influenced by the sea, rocks & megaliths of Kerry & the Burren.
In 2007 she had a one person show entitled “Artist in the Languedoc” at Origin Gallery, showing paintings from that area of southern France, where she lived from 2004 & where she still paints
She has worked extensively to commission. Her work hangs in many private collections.
She is a member of the Graphic Studio Dublin
She lives on the Iveragh Peninsula, in South West Kerry
