I have had a great interest for many years in Megaliths & ancient sacred sites, particularly in Ireland. They hold a universal appeal, & their symbolism, especially that of the dolmen, is very powerful. As a watercolourist, I find this medium very well suited to expressing the spirit of these magical places.

I believe my paintings, which represent the spiritual nature of this land, are a timely response to the crumbling values of the late 20th century, & the present sense of disillusion with our linear culture. People are turning in increasing numbers to a new awareness that there are energies & forces that need understanding & expression. Artists like myself have tuned in to this expression. In a way, it’s a movement begun by mystic artists such as W.B.Yeats & George Russell AE in 20th century Ireland
